Once you start studying in Australia, you´ll know how awesome it is to explore beautiful landscapes. Here are our top 4 spots for an awesome weekend break.
Jump in the car or on one of the rainbow bus tours and take the winding road until you reach the very unique and memorable town of Nimbin. This is a famous alternative lifestyle. Nimbin features lots of colourful shops and cafes as well as many ways to find your “inner hippie”.
2. Minyon Falls and Mullumbimby
Located 25 minutes inland from Byron Bay, Mullumbimby is a pretty place to stop for lunch, coffee or to pick up some picnic supplies if you’re heading onto Minyon Falls or going for a drive along the picturesque Upper Wilsons Creek Rd. The Minyon Falls loop takes three to four hours and requires a moderate level of fitness. It is spectacular at any time of the year and especially after a lot of rain, usually during summer.
3.Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens
The Crystal Castle is more like an open planned house, with a beautiful veranda where you can relax. Visit home to the world’s largest amethyst cave, and the world’s biggest (5.5 m) crystals. All this while you take in the stunning view over the rainforest and sweeping valley while holding/wearing your newly found suited crystals for healing or purely just enjoyment. Plan your trip in advance and be sure to include some extra time the free meditation class. You can easily spend a full day at the property.
